In memory of a loved cat
This cyanotype was commissioned by my sons, The Maclean Brothers, in 2024, as a gift to their dear friend who physically and mentally prepared them to row across the pacific, Chloë Lanthier, in memory of her long term cat and companion, Skwentna.

This was commissioned by Trish Hunter while her daughter was participating in the Worlds Toughest Row, an organised race rowing across the Atlantic from La Gomera to Antigua.
The image was inspired by an original watercolour illustration painted for my sons crossing in 2020. Jess’s sightings of marine life, weather systems and star constellations, were reported back to me by her family as she rowed across the open seas. The final watercolour was delivered in person to Jess after her arrival in Antigua, 2025. It was a lovely experience to be part of this journey with her family, and create a completely original memorable artwork for her to enjoy on land.
