Qualifications Printmaking
I gained an MA hons in Fine Art from Edinburgh University in 1984, specialising in painting and printmaing. I then went on to gain a place on the Graduate Enterprise course at Stirling University, graduating in 1985.
I became a member of the Edinburgh Printmakers in the 90’s, and continued working as a scenic artist and illustrator in the commercial sector. During this time I also continued to produce my own work using my handmade travelling diary sketchbooks, specifically designed for my own personal working style, and sketching in my chosen medium of watercolour.
This carried on while raising a family, developing my teaching skills through Community Education, taking part in several exhibitions. In 2007, after 15 years I then returned to Edinburgh University where I gained a PGdip and MSc in Community Education.
Throughout my career as I have always enjoyed passing on my creative skills, teaching in many community environments, including Galleries, Museums and community centres. Following my sons to meet them Antigua in 2020 I began working in a new printing medium, Cyanotype, inspired by the environment I was living in, and also continued with watercolour painting while continuing to teach privately.
I sell my original artwork and Giclee prints through galleries in Antigua but I am now offering the opportunity to make purchases through my online shop. All editions of giclee prints are printed to the highest museum grade level on handmade Hanhemule papers using archival inks.
